Credit notes are available only if Accruals is set as the accounting method at SETTINGS/Company Details

  • Click Income

 


 

  • Click Create Credit Note


 

 

  • Complete the boxes with details of the customer and credit note that you wish to create.

Note: negative figures do not need to be entered because Create Credit Note has been selected from the menu.


 

  • When all entries have been made, click Save


 

 

Notes: Values are now shown in red and bracketed to confirm that a credit note has been recorded.

Save and finish displays the List Expense screen 

Save and add another displays a blank data entry screen.

Use this to record sales credit notes which have not been refunded and are to be used to reduce future payments against sales invoices

Sales credit note is only visible if the accruals method is set (link)
